Looking for Job >> 10 Temping Hints
- On the first day of a new assignment, arrive a few minutes early. Adhere
to designated work hours. Only accept the assignments on which you can fulfill
your commitment. It is important to complete each assignment. If you are going
to be late or absent, call your Staffing Coordinator. We have 24-hour voice
mail service for your convenience.
- Get the info! Know the "who, what and where" of your assignment.
- Perform your duties in an ethical manner. Be courteous at all times.
- Be flexible to additional hours and responsibilities. Remember temporary
assignments are the best "in" for a permanent position!
- Ask questions! Your assignment supervisors will appreciate that you want
to perform efficiently and will gladly answer any questions you may have.
- Double-check your work when it’s complete. Ask for more work when
you finish a task.
- Do not make personal phone calls unless absolutely necessary. You may provide
the BCMS phone number for emergency situations.
- Do not use company property for personal use. Computers, internet, e-mail
and fax machines are for business related use only.
- Remember that Medical Records are sensitive materials. Keep your work confidential.
You may be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- When your assignment is complete, let your supervisor know what you have
done. Always leave your work area neat and organized.
